Our Initial Fire Fighting Theory training is designed for new flight and cabin crew members. Fire is one of the most critical in-flight emergencies – whether in the cockpit, galley, cabin or cargo compartment, immediate and correct action is essential.
Our program equips you with the theoretical knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency and prepares you for the mandatory hands-on fire drill sessions.

Course Structure
1. Online Theory (self-paced module)
Your foundation for safe and confident action.
4 structured modules (A–D)
Introduction to fire science and fire classes
Types of extinguishing agents & their correct use on board
Safety procedures, communication and responsibilities
Interactive learning with quizzes
Certificate of Completion after theory module
2. Practical Fire Drill (mandatory follow-up)
(Conducted as part of Initial Training Program)
Realistic fire scenarios (e.g. galley fire, lithium battery incident, cabin waste fire)
Hands-on training with different extinguishers
Application of the PASS method (Pull – Aim – Squeeze – Sweep)
Team communication & coordination in emergency response
Simulation under realistic stress conditions

Understand the basics of fire behavior and onboard fire risks
Detect fire and smoke quickly and safely
Correctly use extinguishers, fire blankets and protective equipment
Maintain calm under pressure and make correct decisions
Navigate and support evacuation routes
Coordinate effectively with crew and cockpit in an emergency

Theory: Online, approx. 90–120 minutes (mandatory for all new crew)
Practical Fire Drill: On-site, approx. 3 hours (mandatory certification exercise)
